  • A high detailed drawing of an Octopus testing it's boundaries and popping out of it's frame. Named after Papillae (pronounced Puh-pil-ee) the dermal bumps which change the texture of their skin as part of their camouflage. The papillae can expand into various shapes and sizes to imitate the surrounding environment.

    This piece took 44 hours to complete.

     

    Original artwork on A4 size extra smooth Bristol Board paper, drawn with black lightfast ink pens. Actual image is smaller than A4. Framed and mounted with a backing conservation barrier board, white frame and mount. Frame measurements approx. 14 x 17 inches/35.56 cm x 43 cm.

     

     

    Originals come with a certificate of authenticity.
