Oystercatchers at the Shore

Inspired by a photo I captured on an early morning dog walk across Porthloo beach. Not a soul to be seen save for the two Oystercatchers foraging in the seafoam, the soft morning sunlight glowing off their white feathers. The gentle crashing of the small waves and the fizzing of the seafoam as it dissipates on the sand. 

Walking along the coast has such a positive effect on the body, washing away any stress and anxiety you maybe feeling, relaxes the mind which can help with creativity and focus, the rhythmic lapping of waves can regulate breathing and so much more, no wonder I get cravings (is it just me?) to be at the coast or on the sea.

Acrylic painting on a deep edged canvas (approx. 40cm x 64.7cm x 3.8cm).

Painting fully wrapped around the edges. 

Finished with satin UV varnish and ready to hang without a frame for a contemporary look.
