Gannet's Grace

There is something transient in the gannet’s delicate preening, as though the bird, aware of its fleeting beauty, takes a moment to preserve it. This act becomes a quiet meditation on the impermanence of life, urging us to appreciate the fleeting moments of grace and beauty around us.

Although this is only a small painting, it took a lot longer than even I imagined, and at times I almost admitted defeat! (I certainly didn’t imbue grace and poise at times) and thus the time taken is reflected in the price.

Acrylic painting on 30cm x 30cm x 3.8cm canvas.

The sides are painted a shade of purple/blue.
